Ten-Body Yoga Licence

A Recognized Standard for Yogic Methodology Worldwide
Available exclusively through the International Centre for Yogic Arts and Sciences, the Ten-Body Yoga License is the only authorization of its kind in the world. It grants the right to use the Ten-Body Yoga methodology accurately and responsibly in personal, educational, and wellness settings.
This License carries lasting prestige and credibility, adding distinction to any field of study or personal and professional development. It confirms measurable standards of study and engagement, provides continuing access to proprietary materials and updates, and maintains an active relationship with the Centre and its mentorship.
The Ten Body Experience
The most accurate and profound way to understand the nature and power of a human being is through the study of the Ten Bodies, ten interrelated aspects of oneself that together form a complete human instrument and ecosystem. Each of these “bodies” represents a distinct and refined way to perceive, process, and project energy and experience. The Ten Bodies can be studied individually and as an integrated whole, providing a clear and comprehensive understanding of how awareness, vitality, and function work together.
The Ten Bodies include: the central essence of being, or Kundalini, the three minds (negative, positive, and neutral), the physical and sensory self, the arc line related to immune function and self-esteem, the magnetic field, the energy body, the body of subtlety, and the radiance that expresses one’s total presence. When all of these are understood, strengthened, and balanced, they form a unified presence, an eleventh expression of integration, and a twelfth state of equilibrium where the ego relaxes and all systems amplify one another.
Through this lens, the human being can be seen as a highly sophisticated instrument, capable of extraordinary precision, power, and balance. Learning to understand and strengthen the Ten Bodies gives a person the ability to tune and refine their own being at will, using specific techniques in yoga, meditation, breathing, and awareness. It is a fascinating, elegant, and deeply effective way to know oneself and to live with greater vitality.

The Ten-Body Yoga System
The purpose of Ten-Body Yoga is to identify the Ten Bodies, to balance and fulfill them individually and together, and to provide a specific, systematized methodology for self-correction through yoga. The system is clear, structured, and accessible, offering precise methods that can be readily applied in daily life.
Framework
Ten-Body Yoga teaches practitioners to identify which of the Ten Bodies are strong, underactive, or overactive, and to apply yogic technology to restore and build power and stability. This approach can be used to increase overall vitality or to strengthen specific areas of function, focus, or health. Working with the Ten Bodies in this way builds capacity and supports both general well-being and purposeful practice.
Toolkit of Yogic Techniques
The system provides a complete and specific toolkit for each of the Ten Bodies and for the integrated whole. It includes precise techniques in posture, meditation, breathing, and awareness to train, refine, and energize every “body.” Much like tuning a musical instrument with ten strings to achieve its best sound, this methodology develops measurable coordination and strength among the Ten Bodies, building mastery through technique and providing a direct path to reliable self-correction and peak performance.
Vocabulary
Ten-Body Yoga introduces a practical vocabulary for self-understanding and growth. It provides clear language to identify patterns, recognize potential, and apply the most appropriate techniques for alignment, balance, and improvement.
Process
- Identify the body or aspect that requires attention.
- Assess its state as balanced, underactive, or overactive.
- Apply the specific or sequential techniques in yoga, meditation, breathing, and awareness.
- Integrate the outcome with calm clarity, maintaining the ability to tune in and tune up as needed.
Developed by Yogi Akal in the 1980s, the Ten-Body Yoga System is a proprietary methodology taught exclusively through the International Centre for Yogic Arts and Sciences.
Ten-Body Yoga Licensing Course
This online program is the foundational study and practice course for experiencing and licensing the Ten Bodies through yoga, meditation, breathing, and anatomy. It recreates a powerful and timeless yogic experience originally filmed on the Toronto waterfront, where Yogi Akal taught three students: one experienced, one less experienced, and one entirely new to yoga.
The program allows students to move at their own pace, watching, pausing, and practicing each section as often as needed. The combination of instruction, guided practice, and reflection gives students a living reference for their ongoing education in the Ten-Body Yoga methodology.
Yoga and Meditation for the Ten Bodies
Each of the Ten Bodies is presented through its own yoga and meditation practice using Kundalini-style postures, meditations, and breathing techniques. Participants follow along with the students in the videos, learning how to strengthen and balance each body individually and as part of an integrated approach. Explanations, demonstrations, and interwoven lectures provide clarity and depth throughout.
Breathing, Awareness, and Relaxation
A complete set of breathing practices accompanies the yoga and meditation work, organized around the Ten Bodies to develop focus, endurance, and vitality. Additional segments on awareness and relaxation offer techniques to balance energy and quiet the mind.
Special Focus and Enrichment
The course includes a section of additional exercises specifically designed for women’s well-being, along with stories, affirmations, and reflections that highlight the meaning and purpose of each of the Ten Bodies. These elements create a thoughtful and engaging learning experience that connects practice to everyday life.
Anatomy and Physiology
A comprehensive Anatomy and Physiology module supports the entire program. It includes full instruction in gross anatomy, physiology, and subtle anatomy, covering both the physical systems of the body and the energetic structure related to the Ten Bodies. This dual study builds the foundation for deeper understanding and responsible practice, essential for anyone seeking to advance their knowledge of yoga.
Course Structure and Access
The Ten-Body Yoga Course is presented through the ICYAS online platform, combining video instruction, reading modules, and guided assignments. Participants can study at their own rhythm, reviewing each practice as often as needed. The structure allows flexibility while maintaining a clear, organized progression through all components of the methodology.
Personal Sadhana and Independent Study
Each participant develops a sadhana, a structured daily practice that integrates postures, breathing, and meditation from the Ten-Body Yoga System. This ongoing personal discipline deepens experience and ensures that learning becomes a lived practice rather than a theoretical study. Along with this, participants complete independent study assignments that connect the Ten-Body principles to both personal and applied practice, strengthening understanding, consistency, and confidence in how the system can be experienced and shared.
Assignments and Practicum
The assignments and practicum form the applied component of the course, linking knowledge to communication and demonstration. Participants complete written assignments and reports, design and implement structured sequences, and demonstrate understanding through discussion and evaluation. The practicum confirms comprehension and readiness to represent the system within the ethical and usage guidelines of the Centre.
Duration and Completion
All course requirements, including learning modules, quizzes, tests, assignments, sadhana, and independent study, must be completed within twelve months from the date of enrollment. Participants may progress at their own pace and advance as quickly as they wish within that period, provided that all components are fulfilled by the end of the course. Successful completion of all requirements confirms eligibility for the Ten-Body Yoga License.

Educator Level
After completing this license, participants may choose to continue with the Educator Level. This additional training strengthens practical skill, deepens understanding of the material, and introduces clear methods for presenting the system in classes, workshops, and guided group study. The Educator Level is ideal for those who wish to share the material responsibly, offer structured learning experiences, and bring this knowledge into their communities with confidence and clarity.
Deepen Your Path of Study
Many participants choose to combine this license with other ICYAS disciplines to deepen their study and strengthen practical application. The Akar Jantri Numerology License and the Ten Body Yoga License work especially well together, since each supports more accurate insight, balanced perception, and meaningful personal practice.
Those who wish to study at the most comprehensive and integrated level may choose the Das Prakash Healing License, which brings these disciplines together within one complete system. It includes numerology, Ten Body Yoga, the full Das Prakash healing protocol, the Book of Life approach, and a wide range of additional study that creates a unified foundation for personal and yogic development.

“The training was phenomenal. In a short time, I was able to see concrete results.”
